Rabbit Hole

Location: 208 Sparks St., Ottawa, ON K1P 5C1

This is the ultimate cosy and intimate restaurant to bring your loved ones this weekend. Making the theme “night out on Sparks” perfect for this restaurant. Housed in a 122 year old building with historical infrastructure. Serving on a patio and two floors. I recommend dining downstairs for a more intimate experience and watch the mixologists shake up your cocktail!

They are known for their crafted cocktails, oysters, charcuterie and their popular wood fired pizza’s! I got the pink panther and the smoky beach cocktail and it was the perfect balance of sweetness. Ordering fresh oysters is a must get here and I love their charcuterie board. They have two size of charcuterie board for two or for a larger group.

They open Wednesday - Sunday until late. Reservation available for indoor dining only.

The Office Resto Pub

Work wife and work husbands are welcome to this pub! A themed restaurant for work dates but you can bring anyone who enjoys grabbing delicious pub food and drinks! This restaurant has a spacious patio so yes, bring a large group! They have indoor dining that is available downstairs and unfortunately not wheelchair accessible.

Weekly Occupational Happiness and Sanity Meetings 3-6pm that offers $1.00 wings, $2.00 in house beer nuts, $3.00 chips & salsa, $4.00 bar rails, $5.00 house wine and $6.00 Moosehead.

I recommend grabbing their savoury popper burger which is a fresh angus patty topped with cream cheese, Monterey Jack, bacon and their whisky bbq sauce. Also try out their Brie apple onion grilled cheese! I really enjoyed their fresh cut fries here!

D'Arcy McGee's

Location: 44 Sparks St., Ottawa, ON K1P 5A8

This is a must visit spot on Sparks Street for live entertainment and great pub food and beers! You cannot miss them as they are right on the corner of Sparks and Elgin Street. Vibrant patio and indoor dining that really highlights the Irish culture.

My fiancé and I tasted the blarney burger and the double stacked fried chicken. We highly recommend these both and the Michelob ultra beer! My fiancé and I have recommended this spot to several friends and it’s officially of his top favourite pubs. Run, don’t walk!

A Sandwich Tour on Sparks Street

Nate’s Deli

Location: 152 Sparks St., Ottawa, ON K1P 5B6

Say no more because this restaurant has been opened since 1959! A well known spot for diner breakfast and smoked meat sandwiches. This restaurant is right on the corner of Sparks Street and O’Connor harbouring busy pedestrians. Many local Ottawanians and tourist have always put Nate’s Deli on their list.

In 2014, Nate’s did major renovations that now gives them a modern and fresh feel when you walk through those doors. Spacious restaurant that can accommodate large groups for almost all events.

I consumed their Dave’s Reuben with fries and Nathan's Famous Foot Long Hot Dog and upgraded to a poutine. Very flavourful, fun and simple to devour. A classic of Nate’s Deli.

Get Cozy with Holiday Beverages on Sparks Street

Little Victories Cafe

Location: 44 Elgin St., Ottawa Ontario. K1P 1C7

A small independent and well known coffee roaster in Ottawa. Stemmed from two experienced bestfriends who loved roasting and creating coffee beverages.

This aesthetic café is at the corner of Elgin and Sparks Street. You cannot miss the large window with cozy coffee drinkers peaking through. My favorite sport is people watching while sipping on delicious coffee. This is a spacious café with high ceilings and approximately 1 large communal table and about 7 smaller tables. Large windows so it’s a very bright setting for work meetings and if you need to get work done.

This winter, I was able to hunt down their holiday drinks such as their chocolate chai, eggnog latte and their spiced cappuccino! All were quite good and my favorite out of the three was the chocolate chai!

Ottawa’s Bike Cafe

Location: 44 Elgin St., Ottawa Ontario. K1P 1C7

Ottawa is bringing a whole new experience! If you enjoy a good cup of coffee and love biking, say no more. This is a coffee shop that brings the love for coffee and biking into one umbrella.

This café has a full menu of coffee and tea beverages with baked goodies. They pride themselves in using all natural ingredients and making most things in house and from scratch. I was able to taste test their unique turmeric latte. I was pleasantly surprised how smooth it was and how it would be a perfect hot beverage for this winter. The premium hot chocolate was rich and I love that they use steamed milk as their base! They make their chocolate syrup from scratch and its very decadent. Make sure when your here you browse the bike shop while sipping on some festive holiday drinks!

Le Moulin De Provence KD

Location: 30 Metcalfe St, Ottawa, ON K1P 5L4

This café is giving me all the France vibes! It’s on Queen St branching off of Sparks Street. A spacious dining area, tons of decadent desserts, pastries and bread. They offer lunch specials and sandwiches daily! This café whips up a delicious lavender white hot chocolate, candy cane hot chocolate or white hot chocolate and a cookie dough latte. They even have fun Christmas cookies to eat and you can purchase and preorder these cookies to gift!

Make sure to visit this café and teleport yourself to France!

Creperie Rim

Location: 89 Sparks St., Ottawa, ON K1P 5A5

This fresh crepe is made right in front of you! This mom & pop shop is a long standing staple on Sparks Street. I love a good nutella and fresh fruit crepe paired with their holiday drinks such as their chocolate chai with tiger spice, a matcha latte or grab a delicious hot cocoa! Come see the festive lights and enjoy some sweet or savoury crepes!
